Family/Community Resource Specialist  

*The FCRS is not part of the Bucks County LIFE program, but often collaborates with LIFE services.

 

 

Who is eligible for Family/Community Resource Specialty services?

Services are provided to families with a parent(s) and a child(ren) identified as having a mental health diagnosis. 

WHO IS INELIGIBLE?

Consumers who only carry an MR diagnosis, receiving Family-Based Mental Health Services, and/or seeking on D&A treatment.

HOW WILL FAMILIES BENEFIT FROM FCRS SERVICES?

FCRS works with families to reduce out-of-home placements, strengthen the family dynamics, develop resiliency after experiences of crises, trauma, abuse, stress, etc., and provide supports based on the family's needs.  FCRS will coordinate with existing service providers.

WHAT SERVICES WILL BE PROVIDED THROUGH THE FCRS?

Facilitate parenting skills development

Crisis prevention and deescalation

Resiliency development

bullet

Linkage to behavioral health services, as well as community resources

Household management

bullet

Transportation to mental health appointments (if available; appointments must schedule at least two weeks in advance)

Budgeting and financial planning

bullet

Work with existing service providers and county service systems
